*Homesick and blablabla...

Even if Hong Kong is an amazing city, you may, as many people here, experience homesick...

First, I would like to thank Derek, our Intercultural Management teacher, for giving us this marvellous link before our departures :

This reading has been very helpful for me...but also for the other exchange students I met here :)
It is about culture shock and what you experience when you are abroad.

So when you are in the Valley of Despair, take it easy ! Be nice with yourself ! Everybody can have homesick, even an overseas Chinese girl in Hong Kong ! And feel free to write to your friends who are still in your homecountry, to ask for postcards and other good things !

Merci beaucoup beaucoup Caro :) !
Thank you for the beautiful pictures of my missing France !

And even if dairy products are so expensive here (a Camembert costs around 70-80 HK$ or 7-8 euros !!!), enjoy a dinner of bread, French cheese and wine with the other exchange students !

*Tourist visa for Mainland China

Hong Kong belongs to China since 1997. French people do not need any visa to visit Hong Kong as tourists... but they do if they want to travel around China, they need a tourist visa...

So where can you get a tourist visa for China ?

1) From the Chinese Embassy in France...but I personally do not recommand it... I think the visa would be more expensive if you get it in France...

2) In Hong Kong...but where ? I was told that the prices vary a lot here... so go to :
